The Description of the World invited a group of 16 people to walk around town, and experience body, writing, narration and communication practices. They were also to share an extract of the experience in an open day audience. We aimed to regain contact with experience as something personal and non-transferable, a mode of prospecting that lays faded behind saturated information in an ever growing speed, thus preventing us from digesting it and developing a critical attitude towards it. We were also moved by the quest of how to translate experience into artistic aesthetic objects: how do we manage to communicate a process to those who did not experience it?

As the main tools we proposed: walking, writing about it or about the present, narrating through performative or visual art materials, reflecting on possible ways to tell a story and always referring to the body as ‘this cognitive mystery’ that mediates all our experiences.

When we think of dramaturgies of the encounter we consider that processes of artistic collaboration are made from a continuous, multidirectional agency, which effects are not limited to artistic objects. New partnerships emerged, knowledge was shared, artistic processes were developed and the sharing of it with others allowed participants to widen their sensitive and aesthetic universes.
